WELCOME to Heath and Reach

Our historic conservation area village in Bedfordshire

Heath and Reach Village Pump Heath and Reach is a village of approximately 600 homes lying just two miles north of Leighton Buzzard, four miles south east of Woburn and ten miles south of Milton Keynes Central Shopping. There is easy access to the A5 trunk road.

The village is centred round a mix of thatched cottages and period properties. The village, highly sought after by house buyers, has continued to expand as people seek to move here, keen to join the community spirit. Here you find new build homes alongside former artisan cottages and open fields with footpaths and bridleways around our nationally known sand quarrying sites.

Heath and Reach is home to Rushmere Country Park, with its two cafeterias, lake and great walks.

The village boasts a lower school with an outstanding Ofsted, an outdoor play area, playing fields, all weather courts,  a village barn with a host of leisure classes under its roof, and even a boxing club. These are all organisations or locations the Parish Council has been involved with.

The terminus of the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway is located at Stonehenge Works in Heath and Reach.

If you are just here to learn a little bit about our village, please feel free to browse. If you are thinking of moving here, please see our Amenities page to see what else the village has to offer. You may also wish to read through the Parish Council minutes and agenda to obtain a feel for what life is like.

It is the role of the Parish Council to ensure Heath and Reach remains a desirable place to live.

You will find a contacts page on the site. But if you’d like to get in touch with the Parish Council straight away, email us This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or telephone 07778 356097

Members of our Facebook group often proudly display photographs of the village, taken at different times of the year to demonstrate how beautiful our locality is. We think these photographs should be shared with a wider audience and have thus added a Villagers’ Photographs page to this site and invite anyone who has photographs they wish to share to send them to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. We would also be interested in receiving any archive snippets about Heath and Reach or any old newspaper cuttings or anything else of interest and we will be more than happy to display them.

Is there something we should know about, or you’d like to write about? Let us know at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
