If you have accidentally locked yourself out of your property, our locksmith will use non-destructive entry methods to gain access, this ensures no damage is done to your door or lock. We know how worrying it can be if your key has snapped off in the lock! But don’t worry, our locksmith will extract the broken part of the key, so no damage is done and your lock will then operate as normal.
If your want to change or upgrade your existing locks, we always recommend that you check to see what standards your insurance provider requires beforehand. For a mortice lock or night latch, the standard would be – British Standard (BS3621:2007). If you have a euro-cylinder lock the standard is – BSI 3-star (TS007:2014). These types of locks are kite marked to British Standards and will help improve the security of your door(s). They help prevent intruders from using these methods of entry; lock-snapping, lock-drilling and lock-bumping.
