Our Responsibilities to the Parish of Heath and Reach
Heath and Reach Parish Council maintains the green spaces and play-areas in the village including Bryants Lane Sports Ground and Thrift Road Playing Field. It is also responsible for many other aspects of the village environment. Among the many things we look after are:
- Bryants Lane Pavilion, Courts and Trim Trail
- Bus shelters
- Cemetery & War Memorial
- Grass cutting on some of the Greens
- Bird’s Hill Green, Heath Green, Reach Green and Thrift Road Recreation Ground
- Litter Picking
- Seats and Benches
- The Pump House & Clock, including winding
- Thrift Road play area
- Traffic calming measures
Street lighting, grass cutting to verges, roads, footpaths and drains maintenance are the responsibility of Central Bedfordshire Council. To report any matter that is outside of our remit, please visit the Central Bedfordshire Council Website
The allotments and Copt Hill are the responsibility of the Allotment Trustees.
