The Two World Wars

Poppies have been planted on Heath Green and in the Cemetery. A memorial bench has been placed at the war memorial in the Cemetery in commemoration of those villagers who perished or were injured in the World Wars.

A granite obelisk standing on a concrete plinth with one step stands in the grounds of the Parish Cemetery on Leighton Road, Heath and Reach. There are in total 39 names listed for World War 1 and 5 for World War 2. Monies were raised by public subscription to cover the cost of the memorial itself which at the time cost £155 in 1920 The unveiling of the memorial and dedication took place on 14th August 1920.
